Loch Lomond Villa opened their 18 bed special care home in November 2019. This special care home, licensed by social development, provides level 2 services to adults requiring support. It houses 14 private rooms, and 2 semi-private rooms. Semi-private rooms include a private bedroom with a shared bathroom with one other resident.
The special care home is a great option for adults who require support but want to remain independent as long as possible. The special care home is equipped with a dining room that is stocked with fruit, bread, cereal, cookies, milk and juices. It is open and available to residents 24 hours a day. Meals are provided on-site. Staff are available to residents 24 hours a day to assist with personal care needs, self-sufficiency, and supporting cognitive functioning. Special foot care services are available in the Wellness Centre by a qualified foot care nurse. Appointments can be made by calling 643-7139. Hair care is also offered on site by an independently operated, qualified hair care professional. Appointments can be made by calling 643-7176. For residents who are interested in spiritual services, a multi-denominational chapel is located on-site, where services are held on a regular basis.
There is currently a wait-list. In order to be added to the waitlist, individuals must be assessed by social development. Once assessments have been completed, individuals can be added to the waitlist by calling the Accommodations Coordinator at 506 643-7100. Tours can be done as rooms become available.
